This is a listing of Church activities, organized by committee.
It is a directory of sorts: If you need help (or want to help) in a
particular area scan the list for the most relevant committee and contact
the chair or members directly.
The committees naturally fall into categories that loosely correspond
to board positions. To facilitate searching and comparisons, the
committees are listed below in groups, but note that this document
does NOT portray the "Chain-of-Command". The details of the
organizational structure are largely a matter of convention and
sometimes fluid, evolving as people move between committees.
The abbreviation atESUUC is used to mean @esuuc.org.

Description:
Oversee operation of the Church and approve expenditures. Note that
any member may attend board meetings.

Description:
Maintain a current list of members. Publish a directory of members
and friends annually. Coordinate the greeters for Sunday Service,
track visitors and assimilate new members, update church brochures and
maintain literature racks.

Description:
Monitor how well the Church as a whole is meeting the needs of its
members. Be an interface committee between staff, other committees and the
congregation, evaluation of our ministry and feedback.

Description:
Support and guide the RE directors in providing religious education
programs for children and adults.
The purpose of our RE program is:
- To maintain a strong community, built on respect and patience, which
is a safe place to express yourself and pursue your passion.
- To create a place where learners of all ages can come together with
energy and enthusiasm to recognize wisdom in all its forms, to foster a
sense of belonging in the UU tradition by creating a nurturing
environment that encourages members to use our UU principles to become a
positive force for serving the greater community and preserving our
planet.
- To instill in our children a sense that they are cherished by our
congregation as representing our future.
